Kingston has it's very own museum in the centre of town The museum hosts two permanent exhibitions downstairs. The first one tells the story of Kingston's Ancient Origins and Town of Kings where many of the artifacts on display have been donated to the museum by the community. Items on display include Red Deer Antlers from prehistoric times found under Eden Walk, flint from the Thames and coins from Chessington. There are displays on boat building by John Lewis, the history of the Market place, schools in Kingston and the air craft Industry. The other permanent display is the Eadweard Muybridge Gallery about the life and times of this pioneering photographer. On the stairs are illustrations from local artists of local sites. One includes Hannah Radenkova's illustration of Woolworths in 2009 before it closed down.
